What We Believe

The Bible (Good News)
We Believe: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. We also believe that God is still speaking and giving new and fresh revelations daily…so we are continuously listening for and in daily expectation of Good News. (2Tim. 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)

The Trinity (The Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
We Believe: In one God that exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to the earth as Savior of the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells among us now and once we receive Him, lives inside of us. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; II Corinthians 13:14)
Salvation
We Believe: Salvation is simply a process by which a person must confess that Jesus is Lord, with the realization that Christ must have full rule over his life with all of His righteous requirements. This confession of Christ as Lord also assumes that it is Christ who will work and fulfill His own righteousness within man. Next he must believe that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead. The belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus carries with it the realization that the penalty has been paid for sin and power is provided for man to live a life free from sin. Thus, man’s relationship to God is restored. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38; John 3:16-17; John 3:5)

Jesus Christ
We Believe: Jesus Christ, voluntarily paid the price for the sins of all people by dying on the cross as their substitute, and satisfied divine justice, bringing salvation to all who believe and trust in Him alone. After His physical death, Jesus Christ rose from the dead and ascended into heaven to take His seat at the right hand of the Father as the only intercessor between God and humans. He promises to return to earth, to fulfill history and the eternal plan of God. (Matthew 24:36)
Eternity
We Believe: Every human being, past, present, and future will spend eternity in either heaven or hell. Each individual will choose where he or she spends eternity based on the life they lead while on earth. (Romans 2:6-8; Matthew 25: 41,46; I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Divine Healing
We Believe: Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of all believers. We believe that EVERY stripe that Christ received was for our healing. (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:16,17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14)

Relationship
We believe: God has given each of us access to Him and all that he Has through establishing a relationship with us, choosing us as His children. (2 Corinthians 6:18, Romans 8:16)

Baptism
We Believe: Baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Baptism is a choice and its meaning should be fully understood before participation. ( 1 Peter 3:21, Matthew 28:19-20)

Communion
We believe: That in preparation of His departure, Jesus gathered the disciples in a room and asked them to consume bread and wine “in remembrance” of Him. Today, we corporately participate in this act in remembrance of our Lord and Savior's sacrifice for our sin nature. (Mark 14:22-25)

5-Fold Ministry
We believe: In the 5-fold ministries (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) to equip believers in Christ to do the work of the Kingdom. (Ephesians 4:11-12)

OUR VISION
To be a movement of real people, with real struggles, being radically changed, by a real savior. We learn through: understanding LOVE, receiving God's GRACE, gaining HOPEand experiencing FREEDOM, so that we can live abundant lives on earth.

UNDERSTAND LOVE

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God."
I John 4:7
Love is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. God has given us an unlimited supply of love and it is always available to us. However, for most of us, it is hard to receive because we do not yet understand it.
Life Restoration Ministries is known for the LOVE we give to others based on the LOVE that we are given by God himself.
UNDERSTAND HOPE

"And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."
Romans 5:3-5
Hope can be described as a “full confidence of assurance of good things that are to come.” As Christians, we understand that everything that happens in life is ordained and approved by God…yet; many of us do not comprehend the idea of “hope” in the midst of adversity. When we truly grasp the concept that God uses every situation in our lives for His glory, we will look at things from a different perspective.
Life Restoration Ministries is an oasis of hope. The hope that we have is rooted only in the glory of God.
UNDERSTAND GRACE

"For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is a gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast”
Ephesians 2:8-9

The “wages of sin is death but the gift of God, is eternal life.” The gift that is extended to us is called grace. It is a gift that is available to EVERYONE. Understanding the gift of unmerited favor (grace) given to each of us is essential in living an abundant life in HIM.
Life Restoration Ministries understands and walks daily in the favor given to us by God. We realize that we are not in position to judge, but to extend the same grace that it extended to us.
UNDERSTAND FREEDOM

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
John 8:36

The truth of the gospel was never written to make the Christian bound, but to make us FREE. The bible says in Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened by a yoke of slavery.” Freedom does not mean that you have no boundaries, rules, or regulations, but it does mean that you are, bound, and oppressed by those rules.
Instead of walking in the yoke(s) of “I can’t”, Life Restoration Ministries is designed to walk through the mountains of “I can."
